- Recently, genetics of ovarian carcinoma have started to unfold, leading to unprecedented advances in patient treatment and cancer prevention.
While the introduction of parp inhibitors for affected patients and preventative surgery for mutation carriers have saved many lives, as we stand at a breakthrough moment for ovarian and breast cancer there is still room for improvement. This workshop aims to explore the most promising strategies and novel applications in the field of hereditary ovarian cancer syndromes, both now and in the future.
Taking an integrated, multidisciplinary approach, the event will focus on cancer prevention, treatment, and quality of life of individuals carrying brca and related mutations.
