- Notable treatment advances have been made in the last decade for patients with hematologic malignancies and several new drugs are under development. Within this rapidly evolving landscape in hematology, the inclusion of quality of life (qol) and other patient-reported outcomes (pros) is critical to inform benefit/risk assessment of new therapies, or to assess whether patients live longer and better. Another key aspect in the current hematology arena, is the use of artificial intelligence (ai) and this meeting will also address some of the most relevant opportunities and challenges in this novel area. The underlying theme of the meeting is the central role of patients in hematology practice and research and the value of patient-centricity in drug development process, hence the value of patient-associations will also be discussed during the meeting
